About Property Assessment

Property assessment determines the fair market value and assessed value of real properties (land, buildings, machinery) for real property tax computation. This is required for new constructions, improvements, and property transactions.

  • Submit Application

    File application at the Assessor's Office with required documents including proof of ownership.

  • Property Inspection

    Assessor's staff will conduct on-site inspection and measurement of the property.

  • Valuation & Assessment

    Property is appraised based on Schedule of Fair Market Values and assessment levels.

  • Issuance of Tax Declaration

    New Tax Declaration is issued reflecting the assessed value of the property.

Transfer of Property Ownership

When property changes ownership through sale, donation, inheritance, or other means, the tax declaration must be transferred to the new owner's name.

  • Secure Tax Clearance

    Obtain tax clearance from Treasurer's Office showing no unpaid real property taxes.

  • Pay Transfer Tax

    Pay the required transfer tax at the Treasurer's Office (0.5% of selling price or fair market value).

  • Submit Documents

    File application with complete documents at the Assessor's Office.

  • Claim New Tax Declaration

    New Tax Declaration under the new owner's name will be issued.
